Why should I hire a
professional to coordinate
my landscaping/construction,
instead of doing it myself?
Many people underestimate
-- or simply do not realize
-- the number of details
involved with a complete
landscaping job. In addition
to the visible items such as
concrete, brickwork or
plants, there are other
factors to consider, such as
drainage, electrical,
sprinklers, foundation work
and so on. A
professional is aware of
these "hidden" factors from
the beginning, and will work
to incorporate them
seamlessly into your
project.
Many projects require
weeks, or even months, to
complete. By hiring a
professional crew for
implementation, the
overall disruption time is
much smaller, and the entire
project comes together
faster. Progress is
made on a daily basis, not
just when the homeowner has
time to devote to the
project.
In addition, a professional can
oversee the many various
aspects of the project, and
is available to coordinate
activities and personnel
during the day, allowing you
the flexibility to carry on
your normal work and
personal life.
And finally, professional teams bring
the necessary tools and skill set to do the job
correctly, and to produce an
end result which you will be
proud to own and enjoy for years to
come.
How much will my
project cost?
Each project has its own
special requirements,
including materials,
timeframe, expertise and functionality. We would be happy to meet
with you, discuss and review
your project proposal, and
come back with a detailed
estimate, outlining tasks,
materials, timeline and
costs.

process.
Our preference is to meet
with you personally, review
any plans or schematics you
may already have, verify
your objectives (including
timeframe, cost,
appearance), review the job
site, and then create a
proposal. At this point, we
would need a copy of the
landscape design plans, in
order to spend time
reviewing details and making
a careful assessment of what
is required.
How long will my
project take?
Again, we can't give an
accurate and well-thought
out estimate without first
discussing the project with
you. Our final
proposal includes timeline
estimates.
How far in advance
should I begin planning a
new landscaping project?
Advance planning is best
if in the two-to-three month range.
We want to devote enough
time to each project to do
the job right, so don't want
to rush. This means that you
may have to wait to an
agreed-upon start date, but
once we are working on your
project, we devote our full
attention to it, and the
next project will get its
attention when yours is
done!
What are your payment
policies?
We take payment in
checks, but at this time, we do not
accept payment by
credit card. As part of the
proposal process, we present
a payment schedule for your
approval. Intermediate
project payments throughout
the job are used to finance
materials and supplies, pay
for labor, etc. Your
final payment will not be
delivered to us until the
job is completed to your
satisfaction.
Do you require a
deposit?
Once you sign a contract
with us, we are both making a commitment
to proceed with the project.
At that time, we will ask for a minimal deposit
to ensure your place in our
schedule.
